Dolní Bojanovice - Feast of Corpus Christi

I was in Southern Moravia region three weeks ago, during the Feast of Corpus Christi weekend. And we were accomodated in Dolní Bojanovice by coincidence - village where the celebration is probably the largest and most traditional. Many people are wearing traditional clothes and costumes. I couldn't help myself and took few photos of those who were wearing it. These photos were taken in front of the church (open the article to see more photos).

  1. Beautiful costumes! Would there be a possibility for you to do a blog on "kroje", like who wore it, when did they wear it, did out ancestors wear it in the 18th and 19th centuries, the history of it, when and where it would be possible to see it worn now etc etc, I would love to know more about it. Thanks for your fantastic blogs, I always look forward to then!

    1. I will try to ask my colleague Michaela to write one about our traditional costumes - she knows much more about them than me.

    1. Thanks a lot for your comment. :) I'll see what can be written about this area and particular village - maybe village history or probably a bit about emigrants, it depends on what I'll be able to find.
